G is for good days!

Yesterday was a good day; the quality was only enhanced by the fact that the previous two days were horrid. Not only was it positive in terms of what I did and the reduction in physical discomfort, it was also amazing in terms of support from friends. I still can't believe the continual generosity and thoughtfulness of my nearest, dearest and not-even-that-nearest (i.e. colleagues). So this was just yesterday:
1) My sister booked two flights to come over: in December and January.
2) A colleague gave me the option of taking one of her exam dates or offered to work half a day so that I can at least do some work.
3) One friend was making soup and freezing it in batches for me last night.
4) Three friends popped round for some drinks in the afternoon with some flowers.
5) We got a voucher for €100 for a catering company which delivers freshly made meals to your door - that was from one of the companies I teach for.
6) I got taken out for lunch by the same company yesterday.
7) Another colleague offered to drop round a whole load of reading books she has. She lives about an hour's drive away.
8) I got a lovely long email from a friend who I haven't had a lot of contact with in recent years.
9) A friend offered to go to church with me if I want to.
10) Ed cooked me a lovely wintry meal (Boerenkool) and I had a healthy enough appetite to eat and enjoy it!
What more could you want from a day?! (the day didn't start off on such a sunny note but I don't want to mar this post, so I'm going to do a separate entry about that).
